Julius, dragon runt of the litter, is a disappointment to his mother who is the leader of the Heartstriker tribe. So she seals him in his human form and banishes him to the Detroit Free Zone, built on the ruins of Old Detroit, where dragons are killed on sight. With the help of a fellow exile, a mage named Marci, Julius navigates the hostile environment and tries to prove himself worthy of his mother's respect
