בכל חקירה יש רגע שבו נדמה שהתמונה לא תתבהר לעולם. שהפרטים רבים מדי, זרים מדי, רחוקים זה מזה כמו האנשים היושבים על החוף. הכול טובל בחשיכה או בערפל. אבל לאחר זמן מה נדלקת פתאום נקודת אור חדשה ומאירה גם את האחרות, ומה שנראה זר מתברר כקרוב. הפעם הייתה מזוודה מחוץ לגן ילדים ובתוכה מטען חבלה בלי חומר נפץ. ואדם נמלט בצליעה. אזהרה בטלפון בקול של אישה: "המזוודה היא רק ההתחלה". גננת שהסתירה את שיחת האיום ואולי התעללה בילדים. אישה שנסעה לפיליפינים לטפל באביה אבל לא עלתה על שום מטוס. אב מבוגר המתכנן בריחה עם שני בניו אף שאיש אינו רודף אחריו. וחוקר משטרה אחד מחולון החדור רגשות אשם על נער שאת חייו לא הצליח להציל, והפעם הוא נחוש להגן על החפים מפשע ועל חסרי האונים. פקד אברהם אברהם חוזר. -- דש הספר |
